Zed Bias is the main musical alter-ego of the Manchester based producer Dave Jones. One of the founders of breakbeat garage, the prolific and innovative Jones is also well known under his Maddslinky moniker as a forefather of dubstep. This show will be a live interpretation of his Boss LP on Swamp81. He will be playing and sequencing analog synths and drum machines totally live, with samples from the album being triggered live by our Swamp81 Special Guest on Serato, along with Chunky on the vocals.

Since his debut release in 2008, Phaeleh aka Matt Preston has developed an inimitable style of cinematic electronic music, which meanders between the shifting tempos and timbres of dubstep, garage, electronica and house music.
Phaeleh’s long play releases on Afterglo records; ‘Fallen Light’ and ‘The Cold In You’ cemented his position as one of the most exciting new producers to emerge from his home town; Bristol. Phaeleh’s downbeat and heartfelt sound honours the tradition of Bristolian fore fathers Massive Attack, Smith & Mighty and Portishead, with a fresh outlook and penchant for sub sonics.
His high spec production style has won him support from the scene’s leading taste makers including; Skream, N-Type, Scuba and Kryptic Minds.

Picking up a mic and appearing on sets around Manchester as a teenager, his individuality has seen him hold down mic duties at residencies at two of the city’s most recognised nights, Hit&Run and Hoya:Hoya. He has also become the frontman for True Tiger, Swamp 81 and Riot Jazz as well as being the man asked to host sets by everyone from Jackmaster, Boddika, Oneman and Ben UFO to Detroit underground legend Dabrye.
