Who is the Women of Achievement UnConference 2015 for?
Regardless of your profession, age or background the UnConference is for every woman!
In the spirit of Tara Mohr's acclaimed book and leadership programme for women, the UnConference is for anyone who wants to ‘play big.’
Here’s the thing… ‘playing big’ is whatever it is for you.
I've asked a few women lately what they consider 'playing big' to be, here are some of their replies and it may surprise you.
Playing big for me right now is following my passion for writing and starting a blog.
Playing big for me is sharing my research with the world.
Playing big for me is registering my new business name.
Playing big for me is having the courage and strength to get out of bed each day and start again at the age of 52, after I lost it all… my business, my home and my husband to suicide.
Playing big for me is being a part of something bigger than me, this year I want to use my voice and expertise to support my community.
Playing big for me is marketing my new resource.
Playing big for me right now is going through the process of separation after 15 years of marriage.
Playing big for me is being fully present for my children and supporting my oldest child through his senior year at school. I have had to let go of my dreams for a moment and realise this is my dream, to support my son and for me.. that is playing big.
Playing big for me is to find myself and my sense of purpose in this world.
Playing big for me is to be a role model for my daughter, I want to stop telling her what to do, and go out and do it myself. I want to go to university and get a degree in psychology.
Playing big for me is raising $25,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation, so another child’s wish can be granted. The foundation granted my own son a once in a lifetime wish, after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2004. It is time to give back.
Take leading experts like Kieran Flanagan from The Impossible Institute or the entrepreneurial spirit and drive of Lisa Messenger from the Collective Hub or the dynamic leadership and research of Sandra Harding from James Cook Universitythe UnConference will inspire you to ‘play big.’
