The Womack Family Band
The Womacks are a unique Americana folk/rock quartet from north-central Ohio. Although only two members of the group actually share blood— siblings Noah and Haley Heyman—the close-knit group have captivated audiences all over the eastern U.S. with their spot-on, three-part vocal harmony, tight musicianship and neo-classic songwriting. In concert the WFB gives the audience a chance to hear beautiful three part vocal harmony.
The former frontwoman of acclaimed local indie/folk band Tinamou, Morgan Mecaskey has been likened to artist Jeff Buckley in the way she composes and coveys her music—thanks to a forceful, assured presence, deliberate arrangements, and her confident guitar skills. “Lover Less Wild”, Mecaskey’s most recent EP, features the mellow, R&B-inspired, horn-driven “Fighting Extinction”; the jazzy title track which allows her to show off her terrific voice; and the Joni Mitchell-like ballad “Crushed.”
Nate Jones Band is a soulful, blues-based rock band with a touch of jazz and folk, fronted by a vocalist specializing in a distinctive blend of folk, blues, country and soul—drawing instant comparisons to James Taylor, John Mayer and Amos Lee. A seasoned live performer, Jones has shared stages with such notable artists as Missy Higgins, Ari Hest and Eric Hutchinson.
