The series will be opened with the coming together of four fabulous women’s choirs from across Melbourne including Wendy Stapleton’s the Australian Women’s Choir, the Brunswick Women’s Choir, the Grace Notes Singers and the Soufflé Sisters Community Choir.

The Consort of Melbourne will explore the Italian a capella tradition through a program of works spanning almost 1000 years. This beautiful and diverse collection of Italian songs is drawn together by recurring images of earth and sky - a moving and inspiring way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Including works by Gabrieli, Palestrina, Marenzio, Monteverdi, Pizzetti and Berio.
