On Saturday, May 16, Hoa Sen would like to cordially invite you all to our first ever hosted event for the Vietnamese community in WIndsor.
April 30, 2015 marks the 40th anniversary of what was formerly known as the Republic of Vietnam to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, marking the end of the Second Indochina War (November 1, 1955 - April 30, 1975). Due to this, hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese people fled their homeland in hopes to find freedom and a better life on foreign soil. They became internationally recognized as "boat people".
During this event, we are hoping to bring the small community in Windsor together, not only to commemorate the years of suffer, but to celebrate the success and achievements of each and every survivor that has made Windsor their home over the past 40 years.
As this will be a small event, we do not expect to gain any profits, but there will be a donation box at the venue for donations to a local charity, as a small gesture of appreciation for what Windsor has provided the Vietnamese community with over the past 40 years.
Tickets are only $20 and comes with a served course meal and live entertainment. Cash bar available on site. Doors open at 6:00 PM, dinner will be served at 7:00PM
