As part of our triennial tour to England and Scotland, the William Jewell College Concert Choir will present a concert at Oxford's University Church on High Street on the 28th of May. William Jewell, one of America's top liberal arts colleges, has a choral program of national fame and established reputation. This concert is part of the Choir's 30th anniversary tour, marking three decades of music-making in the UK's greatest spaces for music.
The concert is free and takes place at 1:10/13:10. Program will include selections from works by Mendelssohn, Kallinikov, Ligeti, MacMillan, Miskinis, Gardiner, Stanford, Byrd, and Duncan, as well as various American spirituals and gospel music.
Many of our singers studied at Oxford through the College's Oxbridge program - the concert will be a chance to come by and say hello again as they return to the city.
