Colour runs are the family friendly, best 5k fun run you can imagine and we're delighted to announce that Peace Hospice Care will be bringing the first colour run to Watford this summer!
Join us at Aldenham Country Park, WD6 3BA on Sunday 7th June 2015 for the biggest, best and brightest family fun run around!
What is the Colour Run?
It's a 5k fun run with a difference, at various points along the route volunteers throw coloured powder over the runners, with a different colour at each station so by the end each runner is covered in a multitude of bright colours! Spectators can also join in the fun by buying their own bag of coloured powder and throw this over the runners near the end. Oh and don't worry the powder isn't harmful and will easily brush off. Essentially you get some good exercise, have a fantastic fun time all while raising money for your local hospice charity, what's not to like!
How do I sign up?
Registration is only £18 per adult and £10 for children (under 18) if you sign up before the 2nd May 2015*. This includes your fab Colour Run t-shirt and sunglasses! There's no age limit so the whole family can join in.
*Registration fee after this date will be £20 per adult and £12 for children (under 18).
What should I wear?
We'll provide you with a t-shirt and sun glasses what else you choose to wear is completely up to you, although do remember that you're going to get covered in coloured powder so you might not want to wear your best trainers! Fancy dress is particularly encouraged.
Is the Colour Run a competitive race?
Absolutely not, the whole point is to have as much fun as possible, you can run, walk, hop, skip, dance, twirl whatever you fancy, super fitness is certainly not required.
Join the fun on the happiest and most colourful family fun run around, the Watford Colour Run.
