WARM SODA (US - glam power pop) + DORIAN AND THE GRAYS (BE) - 20H00 | 8€
A power pop group from Austin, TX, Warm Soda combines elements of pop, glam, garage rock, and teen angst bubblegum into a sound that gets crowds bouncing.
Recording out of their own "Fuzz City Studio" in Austin, Texas, Warm Soda is comprised of songwriter and guitarist Matthew Melton, bassist Austin Shockley, guitarist Max Eaton and drummer Caleb Dawson.
After forming in 2012 and quickly gaining fans with their catchy power-pop songs, Warm Soda embarked on a series of US, Canadian, and European tours with their debut album for Castle Face, "Someone For You".
This four-piece delivers a high energy live show combining elements of glam-rock, power-pop and garage. With super infectious guitar leads, well executed vocal harmonies and plenty of hooks Warm Soda have created a sound that just simply makes you feel good. Their songs have a drive all their own and a vintage charm that sounds like they are existing sometime in the 1970's.
“Combining elements of power pop, glam, and garage rock, Warm Soda crush out killer power-pop jams" says Rolling Stone, who named recently named Warm Soda one of their "Bands To Watch"
DORIAN AND THE GRAYS
Dorian and the Grays consists of four young lads who – trying to cope with a hopeless future – make music in an impetuous way. Wrapped in the dark atmosphere of iconic musical heroes and the contrary realism of the punk mentality they point their middle fingers towards the current society with raw songs about miserable weekdays and the half-hearted way in which the weekend tries to save us. ‘Weekend Haze’ is the debut ep op this foursome, showing the B-side of the “beautiful life” in short, heavy pop songs.
