Single elimination 500 points.

Welcome to our first tournament! This will be a SINGLE ELIMINATION tournament. Once you are out we will consolidate the tables and you are free to go home or get in another game with the other people who lost. The max number of spots is 16. I will not be playing in this tournament unless there is less than 8 players. I will serve as the referee/organizer.
If there ever is an odd number of players one player will be given a “bye” game for the round chosen at random. For some people who don’t get to play often they would rather never have a “bye” game. You may choose to offer up your “bye” round to someone else. If no one else wants it then you will be stuck taking a break for that round. You can not have more than one “bye” round for the entire tournament.
The table size will be one table at Recess. They are a little over 4x4. The terrain will be set up by me before the tournament begins. Each table side that a player may play on will have a card on it. Before the tournament starts, I will shuffle cards that correspond with the cards on the tables. Each player draws a card and then sets up their force on the corresponding table edge. For example: Don draws a 3 of diamonds. There will be a 3 of diamonds on one of the table edges. That is where Don will be playing. After a round is over I will consolidate the tables and we start the process all over. This will ensure total randomness of who you are playing and what terrain you have to deal with.
Each player will have drawn a card for their table side. The two players roll off to see who places their objective first. Each player places their objective in turn. Objectives must be 12” from each other and 6” from the table edge. Next, players roll off to see who places first. The winner can choose to place first or second. The player who places first goes first. After placement the opposing player may roll to seize the initiative. The mission follows the standard game length in the main rulebook.
There are three objectives in the game. One is placed at the center of the table. The other two are placed by the players. Each objective is worth 2 points at the end of the game. There is no “objective secured” special rule so any unit can hold/contest an objective.
The secondary objectives are Line Breaker (12” from opponents table edge) and Slay the Warlord. These are worth 1 point. THERE IS NO FIRST BLOOD!
518. For the sake of the war each game will only count as 500 points but everyone wants that extra power sword or one more marine. These extra 18 points will serve for that purpose.
Fast Attack : 0-1
As you can see. No HQ. No Heavy Support. No LoW. No Fortification. You need to bring two troops compulsory but can only have four. You must nominate a character as your warlord if you have one. If you do not have a character then you nominate any model as your warlord. There is no warlord traits. Dedicated Transports are not “Free”. For example: A necron player can bring one Ghost Ark but it will fill the spot for Fast Attack even though the player has a unit of warriors. Land Raiders are Heavy Support so they won’t be allowed. If you have any questions on what is and what is not allowed please ask me!
