Meet, Greet & Walk with the Greyhounds - Durgan and Porthnavas Creek (Walk starts from Glendurgan Car Park). Walk distance approx; 2-3 miles, time 1-1.5 Hours. Start time 2.00pm.
Come and join us for our regular monthly Sunday stroll with other greyhounds and their owners. These "Meet, Greet and Walk with the Greyhounds" are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, in a number of locations around Cornwall. You don't have to own a Greyhound or a dog, but you are more than welcome to come along to meet the greyhounds and chat to existing owners.
If you are attending one these organised walks, it is expected that as well as clearing up after your dog/s they should remain on a lead and under control at all times.
From the "Hillhead" roundabout on the A39 just outside Falmouth, take the turning into "Union Rd" / "Bickland Hill". Take the right turn to "Budock Water". Continue on through the village following the signs to " Mawnan Smith", continue on through the village, ½ mile south-west of Mawnan Smith, on road to Helford Passage turning left into Glendurgan car park. (OS map Ref - SW772277 - Parking: free. Gates locked at 5:30. NB - there are some granite styles along the first part of this walk!! (these have been successfully negotiated by the greyhounds on previous walks).
