Why we Relay
Cancer is a disease that touches all of our lives. I first felt its stung back in May of 2011 when my uncle, Jack Elie, passed away from cancer. Later that year I learned that my father, Tom Soul, had skin cancer. Skin cancer was just one of the many ailments my father suffered from and I am sad to say that he passed away past November 2013 of congestive heart failure. Then about 2 years ago I found out that my mother, Shelley Soul, has leukemia. Thankfully, she is now in remission. These are the people I walk for; in their honor, in their memory. I walk for them with the hope that one day no one will not have to watch anyone they love battle this horrible disease.
Our team is very excited about participating in our 2nd Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life! We know every step we take in Relay raises money to help the Canadian Cancer Society save lives. This year we will be joining the Toronto Relay for Life at Fort York. It is a Daytime event and therefore more family friendly. It will be running from 9am till 9pm. We can expect a fun filled day! Please PM or emailed me if you have any question about anything!
