Here we go U&U'ers! Do we have a line up for you! The Gaelic Club and seekmusic are proud to present Upstairs & Underground featuring Sons of the East + Bears With Guns + Forest Falls (VIC). This show is not to be missed!
Sons of the East is an anindie-folk band from Sydney, consisting of Jack Rollins, who once tamed anemu;Nic Johnston, the guy who is without a doubt the best at finding short cuts; and Dan Wallage, whose hair was once described by David Attenborough as 'the single greatest organism to ever grace the earth'. They pride themselves on their rowdy, raucous and oh so rambunctious live shows, working off what they call the 'tear-jerkers' and the 'boot-stompers'.
Hailing from Parkes in regional NSW, Sydney-based five-piece Bears With Guns are pacifists on a mission. Their live performance is always a highlight, with a blend of delicate acoustic ballads, screaming guitar solos, and a drive of worldly rhythms. The band's journey has taken them extensively around Australia and abroad, from supporting the iconic Icehouse on their east coast leg, to playing Rhythm & Vines and appearing in the '100% Pure New Zealand' campaign. The hard working live act love performing, sharing their music with their fans, and maintain a busy schedule of live gigs around Australia.
Fresh off supporting HUSKY on their southern tour leg, Forest Falls are making the trip from Melbourne to showcase their forthcoming EP 'The Hounds'. Every member brings a rich musical history and solid set of instrumental skills to the table, culminating in the thoughtful, anthemic indie-folk of pure Forest Falls branding.
