Industrial Soundtrack For The Urban Decay is the first film to trace the origins of industrial music, taking you on a journey through the crumbling industrial cities of Europe to America’s thriving avant-garde scene. Industrial music emerged in the mid 70’s, providing a vibrant, provocative and artistic soundtrack to the picket lines, economic decline and cultural oppression of the era. Whether factory workers, students or unemployed, industrial music pioneers were all educated, artistically minded and politically aware artists who started with little to no musical background and went on to change musical history.

About Paul Barker:
Paul Barker has been referred to as “The Godfather of Industrial Music”…and for good reason! Having been a co-founding member of Ministry (the trailblazing band known for putting the Industrial Metal genre on the map), this Music Industry veteran’s riveting performances as the group’s bass guitarist led to his meteoric rise to acclaim. His vital role included Songwriting, Engineering and Production during the band’s most commercially successful period. Paul has also been a member of The Blackouts, Lead Into Gold, RevCo, Flowering Blight, Pink Anvil, and USSA among others. In 2006, he became co-owner of Malekko Heavy Industry Corporation, a manufacturer of superlative synthesizer modules and guitar effect pedals, expanding his musical horizons even further. Paul has produced such acts as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pucifer, Static X, Jesus and Mary Chain, Alkaline Trio and I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness to name a few.
