The Prague Days Chicago festival kicks off with a celebration of the history and heritage of Pilsen from its Czech origins to its largely Latino present. Enjoy music and art from Prague and from the local community, discover the neighborhood’s past through the eyes of its early residents, and experience the vibrant cultural life that continues to define Pilsen today.
Ondřej Havelka and His Melody Makers will play retro hits from Pilsen’s early days as a mostly Czech neighborhood, and offer an authentic glimpse of the music and style of the Big Band swing era.
