Nina Kraviz (3 hour set)
How much do you really know about Nina Kraviz? She’s a Russian techno DJ, an accomplished producer, one of dance music’s breakthrough names of the last five years. True enough, but there’s so much more to her story than that. She’s one of electronic music’s most interesting characters, someone who has stuck to her musical guns since day one, someone who has wide-ranging roots that run deep in the past, yet she’s also the embodiment of the future. Her signature sound is a raw blend of house and techno with a very acidic feel. If that feels very now, Kraviz has a lot to do with it.
Carl Craig is described as a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig’s broad musical canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. The prolific producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking.
Nourishing a vinyl addiction for just over 18 years, Birmingham bred Adam Shelton is widely known on the underground scene as a DJ whose dedicated passion, technique and track selection are truly authentic.
Thriving on raw, quality house music, the energy and vibe of Adam’s DJ style is influenced by his love for early US and Acid house and inspired by trips to electronic meccas such Robert Johnson and Body & Soul. His talents have seen him grace the decks at some of the most influential clubs and parties around the world including Panorama Bar, fabric, Exit Festival, Glastonbury, Space and DC10 in Ibiza, D-Edge, Cocoon and of course, his own truly legendary Below parties, founded in 2005.
