The Peace Garden is opening as part of the Heart of Kent Hospice Open Gardens for 2015.
The Peace Garden, in the original entrance to The Friars Gatehouse, was designed to provide a quiet, accessible and sensory space.
The garden can be viewed as a whole or as individual areas of planting. Upright sleepers divide it into several small themed gardens - encouraging calm and reflection through their shapes, colour palettes and use of water.
The volunteer gardeners who have created and maintain this beautiful place will answer questions, as well as indicate a trail to follow of some of the magnificent ancient and specimen trees growing at Aylesford Priory, including the stately False Acacia.
Entrance is by donation - the suggested donation to visit The Peace Garden is £4 per person, children are £3 and there are refreshments available in the Tea Shop.
