**Join the NSPCC Scotland #imakiltwalker team**
We are delighted to be an official partner of the Kiltwalk this year and we want YOU to join our team...
The Kiltwalk is a 26 mile walk around some of Scotland's best known city and rural locations – with all walkers donning a kilt (or tartan) to form one big Tartan Army!
There are Kiltwalks taking place in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and Speyside. And we’re looking for intrepid trekkers to join team ‘NSPCC Scotland’ and help raise vital funds to support our work with some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and families.
If you register a team of five or more people and select NSPCC Scotland as your nominated charity you will ensure that we are awarded a grant from the Kiltwalk of 50% of the funds raised.
If you register a team of twenty or more people and select NSPCC Scotland as your nominated charity, you will ensure that we are awarded a grant from the Kiltwalk of 75% of the funds raised.
The remainder of the funds you raise will be split between the Kiltwalk's charity partners - all highly deserving Scottish children's charities.
NSPCC Scotland is an official charity partner for the Aberdeen Kilkwalk which is aiming to get 4,000 kiltwalkers this year. That means not only can you nominate us to receive 50% or 75% of the funds you raise, but we'll also get a share of the funds all the kiltwalkers are raising.
Those funds will help support ChildLine – our helpline and online service for children and young people, which this year celebrates 10 years of providing comfort, protection and help from its counselling base in Aberdeen.
If you don't think you can get a team together but still want to do the Aberdeen Kiltwalk you can join Team NSPCC Scotland by choosing "NSPCC Scotland (ChildLine Aberdeen)" from the dropdown menu at registration. That way you can still ensure that 50% of the funds raised are awarded to NSPCC Scotland by the Kiltwalk.
Kiltwalk registration fee is £20 if you register before 31 December 2014 (£25 after), so be sure to take advantage of the earlybird incentive. Once signed up, you’ll receive a kiltwalk registration pack, including a t-shirt and other goodies.
The Kiltwalk is always about raising as much money as possible for Scotland's children, so we’re asking you to aim to raise at least £200 each in sponsorship.
If all that walking sounds like too much hard work, don’t worry, you can still get involved by volunteering as a Kiltie and helping out at the events. If you'd like to be a NSPCC Scotland cheering kiltie, spurring on our teams on the day and helping make our charity pit stop the best one along the route, please contact email@example.com – we look forward to hearing from you!
And if you're planning to get involved for NSPCC Scotland in the Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth or Speyside Kiltwalks, do let us know – we'd love to see and share your pics.
