This year’s Southeast Asian Graduation commemorates the 40 years since the fall of our capitals. The fall of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam marks the beginning of our families’ resettlements to America. While we highlight the achievements and successes of our graduates today, we also illuminate on our families’ journeys to America. Together we recognize the influence of their hystories, challenges, and struggles in shaping our communities today. As we join our communities together, whether the ones we established here in Berkeley, those in our hometowns, or those still in Southeast Asia, we celebrate our communities united as one and still rising as one. Through this commencement, we honor the accomplishments of our communities as we continue to rise in unity, power, and triumphs. 2:30 PM - Doors Open 3:00 PM - Commencement Begins Keynote Speaker: Fahm Fong Saeyang, Producer/Writer, Death of a Shaman 5:00 PM - Banquet (Wheeler Hall Plaza) TICKETS FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS We welcome all community members to join us at this year's commencement.
