Ritual of to Moon Concert with Imam Baildi, Karsh Kale and PUi New York – April 28, 2015: The Ritual Of The Moon event lands in New York on Saturday, June 13 at famed venue Terminal 5. Ritual Of The Moon is a world arts experience creating a culture of unity through art, music and community building. In its debut year, globally prominent artists will set the primal fire. From global influencers to internationally renowned music connoisseurs the event brings together a diversity featuring visual installations, multidisciplinary art curation, food vendors and a bazaar. Ritual Of The Moon advocates global unity, which are reflected in the musical, artistic and culinary offerings. The debut experience features 4 musical influencers: The ethnic-urban/dance sounds of Imam Baildi (Greece), the acoustic-rock music & poetry of Teoman (Turkey), creative genius Karsh Kale’s electronica (India) and the eclectic world-influenced rock band PUi (NYC). The event is produced by Nazimcan Shuva, founder of the now international band, PUi, Kosta Kantzoglou of Globe Entertainment, who has worked with acts such as KISS, Lordi, Santana, Diana Ross, Rolling Stones, Enrique Iglesias, and Serdar Ilhan and Mehmet Dede alongside Ekmel Anda of downtown venue Drom and NY Gypsy Festival fame. Ritual of the Moon co-producer Nazimcan Shuva adds, “We are bringing together different cultures from around the globe; music, art and food of multiple backgrounds. This year we are starting with influencers from Turkiye, Greece, India and more to create a melting pot of an experience that inevitably transcends all our differences and unites us. Tribal Drums dancing around Synthesizer Sounds fueled by aggressive guitar riffs, ethnically diverse, emotionally intoxicating, a melodic, rhythmic texture featuring metal, soul, Middle Eastern motifs and Electronica. PUi Ritual events have sold-out venues like Webster Hall, Irving Plaza, Gramercy Theater and Highline Ballroom. His biggest hits include “Paramparça” (All In Pieces), Senden Önce Senden Sonra (Before You, After You), 17 and Papatya (Daisy). On Papatya, Turkish female rock singer Ozlem Tekin features as backing vocals. Şebnem Ferah has also featured on a couple of Teoman’s tracks. WATCH NOW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRlryY5mJoY IMAM BAILDI (GREECE) Imam Baildi is a very popular Mediterranean dish made with aubergine - a similar fine musical blend that is served by Lysandros (drums, percussion) and Orestis (DJ). On the one hand the unique sound of rebetiko, a sort of outlaw Greek blues that captivated the country’s music scene from the turn of the century until the early 1950s, and one the other hand a combination of trip-hop, drum & bass and hip-hop influences. Their self-tiled debut was released in 2007 on EMI Greece to great critical acclaim, followed by more than 130 live shows in Greece around Europe that included support slots for Massive Attack, Ojos De Brujo and Gogol Bordello. Imam Baildi have just released their second collective effort bearing the name ‘The Imam Baildi Cookbook’. Along with original compositions and mixes it features collaborations with LA hip-hoppers Delinquent Habits and Maxwell Wright of Ojos de Brujo fame, Barcelona’s flamenco/world/hip-hop darlings.
