Come join us for our second screening! Due to popular demand, we will be watching “Papillon”, a film based on Henri Charrière’s autobiography. Henri Charrière was an inmate of the prison on Devil’s Island, in French Guiana, and is notorious for his many escape attempts. Starring Steve McQueen in the role of Henri Charrière, this film is a tribute to the man's perseverance and courage, to his undying desire of freedom which will not be curbed by the prison’s dreadful influence. The screening will be in the Dawson Common Room, at 8pm, Saturday of third week. Expect plenty of drinks and popcorn! Everything is free! We hope to see many of you there! We will also be voting on which film to watch next week, so come along if you would like to make suggestions!
