TC & The Moneymakers have been making big Blues waves on the British Blues circuit in the last few years with their high energy brand of classic Hard Drivin' House Rockin' Blues. A good time Blues band that get the party jumpin' everytime.
They play classic Blues with a youthful energy and dynamism that you'd expect from US players and Blues veterans. Despite their recent success and recognition do not be fooled into thinking these are new kids on the blues block. They have years of playing under their belts and this is evident in the commitment and approach to a genre that they're so passionate about.
Their sound is soaked in fat toned soulful harmonica, tasty melodic guitar, backed by a driving funky rhythm section. With appearances across the UK at the country's leading blues clubs and festivals they have gained great respect and recognition from leading players, promoters and reviewers.
TCMM took part in the Jessica Foxley Stage auditions for Colne Rhythm & Blues Festival 2013. They went up against scores of other top young bands and impressed the judges so much that they were asked to perform on the International stage at Colne, opening up for the Harmonica Explosion featuring three of the Blues World's greats Billy Branch, Sugar Blue and Charlie Musselwhite. The evening was a massive success and was voted by Blues and Soul magazine as best Blues gig in 2013.
TOM COCKS - VOCALS & HARMONICA
Has played harp now for over half his life. Schooled and rooted firmly in old classic blues from 1920’s fox chases to Chicago/Swing Blues. TC galvanises the roots with a modern approach to playing and has proved he is up there with the countries best Harp players. TC’s slashing fat harp tones are accompanied by his rich, authentic Rhythm and Blues voice.
