I’d like to take a moment to bring you back to your childhood. Close your eyes, and think of your summer breaks; swimming, fishing, exploring the great outdoors, playing sports and making fun memories with your best friends. Camp Quinebaug is that camp for all reasons, where children and young people with special needs can go and make their own memories since 1972.
Nestled amongst 25 acres of woodlands, today there are over 100 campers each summer that come and enjoy swimming, boating, music, arts and crafts, sports, and nature without any financial burden. While at camp, campers are amongst their peers where fun, creativity, and making new friends is encouraged.
In 1994 the camp was in danger of being closed due to significant reduction of funding from the state. So a group of parents and professionals created Friends of Camp Quinebaug to ensure continued operation of this beautiful resource. On Friday, June 12th 2015, you will have the opportunity to help insure the future of Camp Quinebaug for our campers. Join the Friends of Camp Quinebaug for a good hearted day of golf, food, and prizes. The event will held at Connecticut National Golf Club in Putnam, Connecticut. All proceeds will benefit Camp Quinebaug to fund summer camp staffing and programming which holds a special place in the hearts of our campers.
If you're interested in playing, fees are $125 a player, that includes 18 holes of golf, cart, BBQ dinner and so much more. There will also be many opportunities the day of the tournament to help contribute with lots of raffles, giveaways, and various gaming holes. If you're interested in a sponsorship, donation, or wish to contribute to the raffle, there are many options in which you can help.
