Showing our support to our Troops and Veterans is very important to us here at Battlefield Harley-Davidson! Today we will be honoring them and also raising support and money for 22 Needs a Face, a non-profit that supports veterans suffering from PTSD and the 22 veterans that take their lives every day because of it. Today at noon, we will begin the day with a flag raising ceremony by the local Marine Corp League, Battlefield Detachment, then Tina Grimes will sing the National Anthem. Following Tina, we will have 3 speakers, Danny Farrar, Veteran and President and Co-Founder of 22 Needs a Face, Elaine May-Stem, Sergeant-Major USMC, Retired, and Thomas J. Wilson III, Rear Admiral, US Navy, Retired.
After the speakers, the benefit ride for 22 Needs a Face will leave. Registration for the ride will be from 9a.m. to noon, with the ride leaving at 1p.m. Cost to ride is $10 for riders and $5 for passengers. The ride will be approximately 1 hour long, and will end at Battlefield H-D. Following the ride, the band Don't Tell will play from 2pm-4p.m
