The Westchester Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Young Professional Leadership Committee is hosting the Fourth Annual StrikeOUT Cystic Fibrosis Big Bat Bopper Baseball Tournament in Memory of Aaron Rossman, who lost his battle to CF on November 20, 2010.
Aaron exemplified courage, dignity and strength and never let Cystic Fibrosis define him. He was most known for living life to the fullest and always on his terms. Aaron was also a talented athlete playing hockey, basketball, and golf. StrikeOUT CF was created as a hub to play a favorite sport of Aaron’s called "Big Bat Bopper Baseball” - a mix between cricket, kickball, and baseball - originating at Pelham Memorial High School.
Over the past four years we have raised over $220,000 through StrikeOut CF events and the YPLC’s two Cruise to Cure events.
We welcome back all Pelham Memorial High School alumni, current students, friends and new participants to participate in the “Big Bat Bopper Baseball” Tournament, which will include raffles, food, and games!
To make a team, please contact Michael Recca at firstname.lastname@example.org . All teams must consist of 12-20 people and have a minimum of 3 female athletes. However, only 15 athletes will be allowed to participate per team in each game. Therefore, if you have more than 15 athletes, you must designate players who will sit out each game .
THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE CAPPED AT 10 TEAMS. SPACE WILL FILL UP, SO PLEASE REGISTER EARLY.
$35 per athlete, 19 & up
$15 per athlete, 18 & under
After a successful 2nd Annual Cruise to Cure last year, the Westchester YPLC is changing things up a bit and will be hosting the third Cruise to Cure on the Jewel Yacht. The date for Cruise is October 3rd and the departure location will be in Manhattan on 23rd and FDR Drive. The cruise includes drinks, food and dancing - all to benefit the CFF's Westchester/CT Young Professional Leadership Committee. Like last year, the YPLC will be offering a special combined ticket price, which will be ANNOUNCED SHORTLY (Cruise to Cure and StrikeOUT CF). Guests must be 21+ to attend Cruise to Cure. The discounted ticket price will be available until June 13th. After June 13th, there will no longer be a joint ticket option, even if you participated in Big Bat Bopper Baseball. If you purchase a Big Bat ticket and want to upgrade prior to June 13th, please contact me and we will arrange for an upgrade of your Big Bat ticket to a "Joint Ticket."
Thanks to everyone for your continued support of such a great cause!
