Anita Hamilton is a 10-year survivor of ovarian cancer from Enfield and wants to celebrate and give back.
It’s been a long winter. So, let’s spring into Spring on May 23rd in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada!
“Spring into Spring” expo will showcase community resources, local businesses, food, art, handicrafts, products and services. Local musicians will entertain us, and lunch and snack items will be available for everyone’s enjoyment.
Come out to the event May 23rd from 10:00am - 4:00pm at the Enfield Fire Hall (273 Hwy 2) and enjoy the best of our community! There will be a free-will offering at the door. Donations of $15 or more will be given charitable tax receipts.
Businesses interested in contributing to the event can contact Anita to:
- Purchase a table @$50.00 (fully receipt-able by OCC) to participate in “Spring into Spring” to demonstrate your product or service and have items for sale (first come first served), and/or
- Offer an item or a service for the silent auction, and/or
- Offer a financial contribution to Ovarian Cancer Canada that will be presented on your behalf at the event on May 23.
We come together to celebrate survival, to educate people about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Canada (OCC www.ovariancanada.org). OCC is the only Canadian charitable organization that is totally dedicated to the eradication of this insidious cancer. Research has been funded and there have been great advances. OCC offers free education and awareness programs to health care professionals and to all those interested, resulting in thousands of people here in Nova Scotia being taught the early warning signs, for, if caught early, there is a greater likelihood of survival.
