It’s that time of year again. The Saint Anne’s Neighborhood Association, Inc. with the City of Fall River and Mass in Motion/Fall River Park Advocates will be hosting its Spring 2015 Cleanup on June 6th which is part of the Citywide Cleanup. Kennedy Park is the largest park in the city at 57acres. We need many volunteers to tackle this large task. We would sincerely appreciate any help you or your organization may be able to provide. Every little bit counts.
In years past, we've been lucky to have many volunteers that made this event a success. Would you consider joining us this year?
Here are some details regarding the cleanup:
• Begins at 9am. Lunch is served at 12:30pm.
• Meeting point is at the Pavilion at Kennedy Park. Use the entrance on Broadway to access the parking lot.
• We will divide individuals into teams to tackle the upper park (Section of the park closer to St. Anne's Church) and the lower park (where the playground and pool are located). We will NOT be cleaning up the overlook (section near Mt. Hope Bay).
• We will provide gloves, bags, rakes, shovels, and lunch. We also encourage volunteers to bring their personal rakes, shovels, etc since there will be a limited supply.
If you would like to volunteer, please provide the amount of volunteers that will be participating in the cleanup and an estimated amount of time they are available to work. We need this information so we can have adequate supplies and more importantly enough food for LUNCH. ; )
Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you at the cleanup!
