Please join us for a DIY workshop and potluck to make traditional Anishinaabe split toe moccasins, with remote help from Biksakone Greg Johnson (http://biskakone.com/about/). Steps include: - Measuring for moccasins, tongues, cuffs, soles - Cutting - Beading - Sewing Between workshops, you will take your moccasins home and do your own beadwork. If you need help with beading, just ask! Materials provided: scissors thread sinew leather needles pens/pencils Materials you need to provide or split with other people: tanned hide (3-4 grade recommended) tongue cover fabric (calico recommended) cuff fabric (velvet or trade wool) edging for cuffs (ribbon or fabric like calico) beads beading thread beading needles
