Seven times a day in the United States, someone dies in a home fire. It's more important than ever that we all join together to save lives, reduce injuries and cut down on needless losses.The American Red Cross and its partners have launched an initiative that aims to reduce deaths and injury caused by home fires 25% in the next five years with the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign.
The American Red Cross Serving DFW is bringing this campaign to our South Dallas communities and we are asking you to join us in this initiative to save lives. Join the campaign as a group, a family or an individual volunteer to help us during our canvassing event, May 16, 2015. Each individual group member should complete a form in order to complete your groups RSVP. You do not have to be a registered Red Cross volunteer to participate.
Smoke alarms cut the risk of dying in a fire by half. Join us as we setup smoke alarm installation appointments, provide education information, and help families build fire escape plans in neighborhoods identified as at-risk in our own community.
