When Sleaford Mods started out in 2006 it was only Jason Williamson working both in the studio and in live performances expressing his anger with day-to-day troubles related to low paid employment. Three years later Williamson met Andrew Fearn who quickly became his partner in crime and this is how Sleaford Mods turned into a duo. Williamson concentrated on the lyrics whilst Andrew was working on the tunes.
Just after Mods’ fifth CDr album ‘Wank ’was released the duo was invited to play at a three day festival curated by Nottingham’s Rammel Club. This is when and where the Harbinger Sound label was born. The release of the ‘Austerity dogs’ vinyl album was followed by numerous shows around the UK and Europe.
Their new album ‘Divide and Exit’ was released in April 2014. Sleaford Mods’ reputation for great live gigs keeps spreading around promising a lot more to come from the duo.
