Hello everyone! Along with Rasmus Hammarberg and AJ Shapiro, I am beyond excited to officially announce Skate for the Shining Stars! On May 27th, we will begin a 3 day, 150 mile longboard ride from Manhattan to Montauk, Long Island to raise money for the Shining Stars Foundation. Their mission is to transform lives through year-round, outdoor recreational and social programs for children and families challenged with pediatric cancer or another life threatening illness at no cost to the child or their family. They are a really phenomenal organization that brings hope to these kids and we are thrilled to be supporting them! How can you help? Please support us by making a donation to the Shining Stars Foundation. You can do this at In addition to knowing that you're helping an awesome organization and really making the difference in the life of a child, there are some other perks that come with your donations! All higher amounts come with everything below them! $10 - We'll give you a FB/Twitter shoutout for being awesome. $50 - You'll get your own, signed photo of shirtless Rasmus. Trust me, it's worth it. $100 - We'll list you as an official event sponsor and make you a sick custom tie dye shirt. Maybe we'll even buy you a beer. $200 - Everything below plus your choice of one of the following: 2 hours of private guitar lessons 2 hours of personal training (from guess who, Rasmus) 2 hours of skate lessons $1000 - We'll tattoo our butts. Details to be negotiated. We're thrilled to welcome our first sponsor on board, Goggleoutlet, who will be hooking us up with sweet shades for the ride. More sponsors TBA! We want to raise $3,000 by May 27th. We know we can do it with your help. Stay up to date on our progress by "attending" this event and following us on Twitter @Sk8ShiningStars. Thank you!
