 22 May
 Spring Creek Community House

 Plastic Bag Free Torquay
We are running one every Friday for the month of May and then plan to go back to fortnightly for a while. We are aiming for over a hundred bags in the system. Three people I have spoken to missed out on coming to the last one as we were booked out, please keep your attendance up to date so we don't push people away. We are learning how to streamline it all. Here is a list of things to speed us up. Bring 5 machines, 13 scissors, 1 cutting board and 1 rotary blade, 1 ironing board, 1 over-locker, 1 musician from 8.15 pm-9 pm please. 6 Ice cream containers as bins. No material needed. BYO alcohol. Please post attendance, role and what you are bringing. If you can't sew then there are 6 roles, and you can learn in the process: We are hoping to have Emma-Kate Flick perform for us 8.15-8.45pm. We need an ironer, cutter, pinning, finisher, gopher (take the bags from machine to machine, empty the bins, decide which material to cut next .) If you are interested to host your own event then come along and observe at around 8pm to see the processes. Please message here to be sent info via email on how to host your own event or make bags at home. Everyone is welcome!!!
