Clay-Platte Trackers of Kansas City, Missouri
This is a traditional VolksWalk event sponsored by the Clay-Platte Trackers. Take a walk back in time at Shoal Creek Living History Museum and Nature Trail. This park, which covers more than 80 acres of beautiful rolling hills in Kansas City North's Hodge Park dedicates itself to bring 19th century Missouri to life. The museum has twenty-one structures with seventeen authentic 19th century buildings dating from 1807-1885. Many of the authentic log cabins and homes were relocated from surrounding counties to create a village setting. This is a traditional American Volkssport Walking Event. This is not a group walk where everyone begins and ends the walk at the same time. You can register for the walk anytime between 9:00am and 11:00am, grab a map of the walking route and enjoy the Living History Museum and the trails in Hodge Park. There will be lots of walkers that day so you are sure to meet new friends along the trail!
