Ojai Yoga Retreat
June 13 - 14, 2015
My next Ojai Yoga Retreat will be entitled Shine! It is my belief that life is not for the faint of heart; we are asked to shine our brightest. What better time to cultivate that shine than summer. The retreat will be held at my home in Ojai one week before the Summer Solstice. As usual, the retreat will be 24 hours, starting Saturday, 6/13, at 11am and and ending Sunday, 6/14, at 11am. The cost is $150, and a deposit of $50 is required by June 5 to hold your spot.
On Saturday, 6/13, we will begin the weekend at my home at 11am with lots of snacks that could be called lunch, beverages, introductions and intentions. To shine our brightest, we will remove the restrictions that hold us back from being our fully expressed selves and celebrate all that we are. Then we will do an energetic yoga practice to ignite our internal fires and bring forth our shine, embodying our light. After our practice, we'll jump over to the Farmer and the Cook for cool, healthy smoothies, followed by a joy filled hike.
For the evening, oh how lucky can we be, it's the Ojai Festival of Music at Libbey Bowl, with 2 concerts 6-7pm & 8-9:45pm "in which beauty takes many forms – sometimes wild, exuberant in its excess; sometimes chaste and restrained." Let's have potluck picnic dinner in the park. Please bring a dish or a drink and a blanket to sit on. I will provide plates and utensils, etc. Lawn tickets are only $15 for both concerts. Let's get our tickets ASAP! http://www.ojaifestival.org/festivals/2015-festival
On Sunday, 6/14, there will be a help yourself breakfast at my house (regardless of where you stay), 7:30-9am. And for those of you who want a sweaty shimmer shine, we will head out for a run from 8-9am. Yoga will commence from 9-10:30am. And to wrap it up, we will have a morning dance party, fresh squeezed Ojai O.J. and mimosas included.
For those of you who are ready to take your shine out on the town, the options abound that weekend. The Ojai Festival continues, with a morning concert at Libbey Bowl from 11am-1pm, a concert in the courtyard at the Ojai Art Center 3-4pm, and a final evening concert at Libbey Bowl 5:30-7:30pm.
AND the 29th Annual Ojai Wine Festival is taking place at Lake Casitas 12-4pm! http://ojaiwinefestival.com/
