Fitzroy High School parent and teacher and student community are hosting a series of sex education panels going beyond the biological, open to all parents, teachers, teenagers and educators in the inner north.
These sessions bring the community together to initiate discussion facilitated by an expert panel that will guide us through the important challenges facing teenage sexuality in the digital era using a question and answer format over a one-hour period.
Our second panel for the year will focus on sexual health and wellbeing, beyond the biological. We will explore the intersection of sexual health with mental, emotional and physical wellbeing in relation to the use of recreational substances, safe sex practices, and our expert panel will give us the data and a strong picture of what the real concerns are in this area, and where to focus our support of young people.
The panels are held at Fitzroy High School, Teacher Development Unit. Falconer Street, Fitzroy North, open to the public.
Our panels have an accompanying Facebook group where we post events, informative articles on teen sex education and host some discussion. Please feel free to join the group via the following link.
