PRE AGENDA of the AIDA Competition
S.E.A Freediving Challenge will take place on the Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May 2015.
The agenda will be as follow (Subject to the weather and sea condition)
Saturday 23rd May morning: Registration & Meeting – All athletes must attempt the meeting
Saturday 23rd May afternoon: 1st depth discipline (CWT)
Sunday 24th May morning: 2nd depth discipline (FIM)
Sunday 24th May afternoon: Break or Back up slot in case of bad sea in the morning
Sunday 24th May evening: Closing ceremony
In the Philippines, Cebu island, Moalboal Town.
We will be diving from Freediving Planet Center, in Panagasam Beach. The drop of to the depth is located at only 100 m swimming distance. We will have a Speed boat to cover this distance and a platform to mark the dive site.
In our center, you will be able to use the shower, the stretching area and the chill area. We also offer juices, shakes, hot & cold drinks and lunch.
WHAT DISCIPLINES ?
The first day (Sat 23rd May) will be for the CWT discipline.
The second day (Sun 24th May) will be for either FIM discipline
We will set a depth limit of 75 meters for all the depth disciplines. All disciplines will be rated the same with one point per meter.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST ?
The cost for the whole event is 90 USD. This price includes two official competition dives, one competition dive on the 23rd and, the other one on the 24th .
Also included as many warm ups as you like within 45 min before your official dive.
Included is also a ceremony party on the evening of the 24th May. Place will be confirmed later on.
The competition will be divided into Female and Male category. The total score from the 2 disciplines will be used for the ranking. The first 3 winners of each category will be rewarded with premium freediving equipment. The list of rewards will be confirmed later on.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING ?
Please remember that if you want to compete you will need to bring on the meeting day : Sat 23rd May morning:
Medical Certificate, not older than 2 years, that needs to be signed by a physician and says “fit for FREEDIVING”. This can be for example the AIDA Medical Statement.
A copy of your passport
Your safety lanyard for checking by the judge

We will have a team of safety freedivers working with us. Furthermore there will be a Physician Freediver on the competition platform. We will also be providing pure Oxygen if necessary. Athletes that dive deeper than 60m will receive 100% Oxygen as a precaution and to speed up recovery.
WHO CAN JOIN & AIDA REGULATIONS
The minimum age for AIDA competition is 18 years or 16 with parental consent. Divers of any level or experience can join. You need to be in good health and present the Medical Statement approved by a physician. The maximum depth for the competition is 75 meters. We will not allow the start of divers who announce more than 5 meters deeper than their Personal Best in training. All athletes need to register for the CWT discipline and will be free to choose between FIM or CNF for the second discipline. All disciplines will be rated the same with one point per meter. If you are planning to set a new National Record for your country, you have to be an AIDA member. If your country does not have a National AIDA please contact us in advance for assistance. We will follow strict safety guidelines and the Competition Doctor will have the right to cancel an athlete’s start if diving would pose a risk to the athlete’s health. Divers who experience severe lung / trachea squeeze on the first competition day will not be allowed to start on the second day of competition.
HOW TO JOIN ?
Please note that the number of competing athletes is limited to 15 divers, so make sure to reserve your spot early. As long as we still have capacity, there is no deadline for registration.
