Hi all! Patti Stephen here. I’m so excited to be promoting another absolutely incredible music event – featuring Rebecca Zapen, who is one of the best acoustic/jazz/ blues musicians I’ve heard in years!! She not only sings incredibly well, she also plays guitar, ukulele and violin amazingly! She will be accompanied by guitarist, Gary Starling.
She’s coming back to Jacksonville on Friday, May 29, 2015 for this dinner/concert. She will be performing many of her original folk songs that she's written, as well some favorite jazz standards and bossa nova.

In addition to Rebecca's set of original folk, jazz, and bossa nova, she will also join on violin with Anthony Anurca (who plays bassoon) and Rickolus, who is a singer/songwriter and wrote Rivers and Lakes, the set of songs that they will perform together. The sound of guitar, violin, and bassoon is truly unique and to witness a performance of these songs is rare indeed, since the three musicians are so busy with their own musical endeavors. The stars have aligned to this day and this will definitely be something not to miss!

We will be meeting just north of downtown in the Springfield area. The place is a former elementary school which has been converted into loft condominiums, called the Market Street Lofts. The concert will be held in one of the auditorium units, which has 25 ft. ceilings, a mezzanine, and a small stage.
SPECIAL NOTE : to confirm your attendance please click "join" and then send an RSVP to the email:
to receive the address and exact location of concert. We’ll be meeting at 7:00 for a pot luck, so feel free to bring a dish to share ...there will be some pizza and salad and you can “bring your own drinks” but there will be some water bottles, soda and wine available.…also you can bring some dessert to share!
The cost for the cover charge for the concert is $20 and it is worth every penny! I promise!!
Please note that there is a limit of 70 people who can attend this event due to space, so make sure to sign up. There will be plenty of tables for the food and chairs to sit and talk and hear these musicians perform.
Also keep in mind that when these folks start performing…this will be more of a “listening” concert – not the kind you sit in a bar and talk while the music is playing…but there will be breaks in between so you can talk with each other.
The concert will start at 8:00.
