ITALIANY is a visual celebration of influential Italians in the United States, manifested through a series of bold black-and-withe portraits. Wandael explains, "I was inspired by the Italians I photographed throughout the years and felt compelled to create this initiative in hearing stories of their aspirations and strong drive to succeed. Each individual story in this exhibition tells a highly personal account of an Italian living and working in the US, but together these sotries tell a broader narrative about the impact of the Italian style in the United States".
The exhibition is in partnership with Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Italy's No.1 premium beer as the first part of the brand's two-years Storie di Stile campaign that spotlights stories of talented Italians in the United States and their impact on style an culture.
Some of the Los Angeles personalities fetured in the exhibition include composer Carlo Siliotto, film editor Elisa Bonora, actress Elisabetta Canalis, design director Cinzia Simone of GUESS, interior designer Diamante Pedersoli, film producer Stefano Gallini-Durante, actress Francesca Fanti, artist Luigia Martelloni and many others.
BBAX Project Room #2:
This time with "Elements," Miranda usesthe fundamental building blocks of nature as a lens, doorway, through which we find ourselves confronted by visions from another world.
Even in his earliest work, Miranda's passion and curiosity gave him a sense of play with the elements, from which he manipulates and combines layers into new forms of matter and energy.
Building on his last two exhibitions, "Cycles" and "Water," Marco Miranda presents the viewer with a platform of organic forms, colors and shapes and adds to our understanding through experimentation and interactive video installations.
“Elements,” this new body of work by Miranda, takes us in a new direction, on a more playful, happy and healthy path.... that allows the viewer to unplug, reboot and break loose. His palette has become stronger, creating forms which free us to experience the artist's flair for the sensual and his deep sense of sexuality.
"Elements” is Miranda's powerful invitation, leading us into his imaginary world revealing our true connection with the elements of nature.
