On Sunday, May 17, The Marion Consort will present rare music from Renaissance Florence, the Heart of Tuscany. Known as the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, Florence is the home of the Medici’s and the grandiose Florence Cathedral, the Santa Maria del Fiore. This concert will feature composers who were born in Florence, worked in Florence, or were connected with the Medici Family, such as Josquin Des Prez, Guillaume Dufay, and Heinrich Isaac. Join the Consort at St. Tarcissus Catholic Parish (6040 W. Ardmore, Chicago) at 3pm.
