Back for more! This is the 4th annual Runaround Sue Vintage charity fashion show. Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Proceeds will also help to buy a wig for Michelle Joline, a 24-year-old girl currently going through chemo. Get advance tickets by donating to Michelle's cause here: http://www.gofundme.com/qxf322j
The show is also a hat party: Admission is $10 — or $8 if guests come donning a vintage hat.
Kicking off at 8 p.m., the first 50 through the door will get a goody bag filled with gift cards and knickknacks from local businesses (and maybe a free beer from Holy City Brewing!). We'll also give away lots of awesome raffle prizes.
9 p.m.: The runway show starts and only lasts for 10 minutes, so get there early!
After all the fashion, Dumb Doctors will perform 1960s garage-rock covers, which will be followed by the ragtime sounds of The V-Tones of Charleston.
Jeremy McLellan will emcee, and Autobahn Food Truck will be on hand for some good grub.
Lava Salon will glam up the models’ hair and makeup, and Third-Eye Vintage will contribute vintage accessories and more to the looks. Clothes modeled will be available for purchase after the show.
Use #werkforacure when posting your pics from the show!
This show is in memory of my dear friend Elizabeth Walker, who lost her battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on September 27, 2012.
