Route 66 Summer Jam was created in 2008, born from the minds of the musicians now known as the Route 66 Band. At the head of its creation were Route 66 Music owner Marcus Carter & local business man, friend, and husband, the late Steve Kneeland. From this pairing Summer Jam was put into action.
The purpose of Route 66 Summer Jam is to not only bring local bands and musical talents within our community to light but to also raise awareness and funds for a different cause or charity each year. We hope to do all of this while creating a fun and entertaining event for the entire community to participate in and enjoy!
At the Route 66 Summer Jam on the square you can find local business vendors, delicious treats from local food vendors, constant musical entertainment by local bands and musical talents, raffles, activities for the kiddos, and much more!
This year's proceeds will benefit the Pulaski County K-9 Units for K-9 bullet proof vests & Pulaski County's Shop with a Cop!
