Rory Gallagher A 20th Anniversary Celebration Concert. With The Dave McHugh Band. Crumlin Children's Hospital Cancer Unit will receive a donation from the profits of the show. Award winning Blues guitarist Dave McHugh, has been synonymous with keeping the memory of the great Rory Gallagher alive. In fact, 20 years ago, Dave started "Aftertaste" as a tribute to Rory, the first to do so. Now, on the 20th anniversary of the Blues heroes death on 14th June, Dave and his band will recreate all those great iconic songs and memories. From early Taste classics such as "What’s Goin’ On" and "Same Old Story", to the iconic mid 70’s with "Walk on Hot Coals" and "A Million Miles Away", and later fiery blues such as "Continental Op", "I Ain’t No Saint" and “Shadow Play”, Dave and his band will rock the Blues for Rory in this special celebration of his life. When the first Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster Guitar came to Ireland Rory's brother and manager, Dónal, asked Dave to "put some sweat on it!" After successful appearances at the International Rory Gallagher Festival, Cork Rocks for Rory, the 7 Hills Blues Festival and many other domestic and international festivals Dave continues to “sweat the Blues” for the great Rory Gallagher.
