Ricky Byrd, 2015 Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and guitarist most closely identified with the monstrous power chords that defined Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ platinum cover of “I Love Rock & Roll” is out and about meeting and making fans one person at a time. His blistering rhythms and soaring leads played a powerful role in the Blackhearts’ great hits.
Ricky has toured the globe and has performed with some of his rock and roll idols such as Roger Daltrey, Jimmy Page, Ian Hunter and Southside Johnny.
A great guitarist for sure, but an equally great singer and songwriter, Ricky’s voice is a mix of Al Green, Otis Redding and Rod Stewart with strong and melodic chord writing. Presently Ricky is out in support of his new rock CD "LIFER" which was named the "#10 Coolest CD in The World 2013" on Little Stevens Underground Garage and his single from the CD "Things to Learn" was named "First Coolest song in The World 2014" on Little Stevens Underground Garage.
On this tour, Ricky will be performing an intimate unplugged show of his music from "LIFER" along with some rock hits of his favorite artists and conversations from the road. Ricky’s blend of voice, guitar and personality is the recipe to an unforgettable “up close and personal” evening. Ricky’s 27 years of sobriety has led him to serve many tri-state Detox groups with music and stories of his own road to recovery helping many on their personal journey.
Double-heading the tour are national recording Artists and Connecticut’s own Lucinda Rowe and Michael Connolly. With heartfelt lyrics, strong and memorable pop and rock melodies, and an undeniable stage presence, Lucinda Rowe and Michael Connolly have captured a loyal audience. Embraced by commercial and independent radio, their original music has met with notoriety through-out the country. Whether as an acoustic duo or with a full band, Lucinda and Michael have performed with or opened for many well-known artists such as Pat Benatar, Eddie Money, Patty Smythe and Scandal, Tony Bennett, KC and The Sunshine Band, Stevie Nicks, The Guess Who, The Monkees, The Georgia Satellites, Sophie B. Hawkins and numerous others. They have just returned from a very successful tour of Nashville Tennessee. Recent tours have taken them to the Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama, Key West, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Boston. Their last radio single was a National Top 20 hit and two new singles were released in January 2015.
