Join Planned Parenthood South Atlantic for our fourth annual Roanoke Spring Luncheon featuring actress and activist Kathleen Turner, our new President and CEO Jenny Black, and honoring Warner Dalhouse!
Keynote speaker Kathleen Turner is the chair of the national Planned Parenthood Federation of America Board of Advocates. Kathleen has starred in such beloved films as Peggy Sue Got Married, Romancing the Stone, and Serial Mom. She has appeared in theatrical roles including The Graduate, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, and most recently as the late Texas liberal journalist Molly Ivins in a one-woman show called Red Hot Patriot. Kathleen is a longtime supporter of Planned Parenthood and says of her work with our organization: "As I travel the country, I'm still shocked at what I see. Attacks on women and women's health are rampant. No woman should have to face these attacks to access the health care she desperately needs."
We are also proud to introduce Jenny Black, the President and CEO of our newly merged Planned Parenthood affiliate. With more than 15 years of being in the Planned Parenthood family, Jenny brings leadership experience and dedication to the care PPSAT provides women, men, and young people every day.
Our guest of honor is Warner Dalhouse, whose contributions as a businessman and philanthropist in the Roanoke Valley are as magnanimous as his personality. Warner has shown a sustained commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission over the years, even being the featured speaker at the Planned Parenthood Annual Conference in 1991.
Sponsorship opportunities and reservations for the luncheon are available at the "Get Tickets" link. This event supports Planned Parenthood’s preventive reproductive health care services and community health education programs in the Roanoke Valley.
