Change is in the air for Republicans in Virginia. John Whitbeck, a true conservative grassroots leader, is the new Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV). He convinced Pete Snyder, former Republican nominee for Virginia Lieutenant Governor, to serve as RPV Finance Chairman. These two grassroots leaders are now paving the way toward the RIGHT change!
One of Chairman Whitbeck’s first actions was to outline the RPV Grassroots Challenge, an initiative to raise $100,000 in donations by June 1, 2015. In response, Pete Snyder and Curtis Colgate, Chairman of the 2nd District, pledged to match grassroots donations one-for-one up to $100,000, an action that effectively doubles any contributions that are made.
In cooperation with the RPV, Grassroots Conservative Republicans in Fauquier, Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties also responded to the challenge. They are hosting the RPV Tri-County Grassroots Challenge, an event being held at 7:00 pm, on June 1, 2015, at the Remington American Legion Post 247, 11420 James Madison Highway in Remington, Virginia.
Chairman John Whitbeck, Finance Chairman Pete Snyder, and former Virginia Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli are confirmed speakers for the Tri-County Challenge. On June 1, you will have a unique opportunity to learn, first-hand, how the RPV plans to expand and grow Virginia’s Republican Party through direct community engagement and effective grassroots training. To the delight of many, there will be ample time for Q & A.
We ask your support and participation as the RPV rebuilds and reenergizes. In order to paint Virginia RED again, we must compete in all 140 General Assembly races this fall. We must also build, strengthen and maintain our grassroots volunteer organizations in Virginia’s 95 counties. Above all, we must compete against anything and everything the liberal Democrats throw at us!
We hope to see you at 7:00 pm, June 1, 2015, at the Remington American Legion Post 247, 11420 James Madison Highway, in Remington, Virginia. And bring like-minded friends with you!
