Kids! Give soda bottles, bottle caps, tissue paper, fabric scraps, and odds and ends a new life; come to the Recycled Puppets Workshop and make wild, zany bottle-head puppets! The finished product is a one-of-a-kind rod puppet; make it as crazy as you like! Everything is provided - except your imagination...At the end of the class you will get some tips on how to perform with puppets. Time and Date: Saturday May 23rd 10 am to 11:30 pm Cost: $10 Perfect for ages 6 - 11 To register: 717-333-5301 - voice mail Registration is accepted up until the time of class. However, we reserve the right to cancel the class if no registrations are received by 5 p.m. the day before. If the class is full, or cancelled, it will be posted as a comment under this class post on the Facebook page Events Tab. Mary Benson is the proprietor of Harmony Hill Puppet Theater, a traveling theater that has provided puppet shows and puppetry workshops throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia for the past 19 years. She received a BA in English and a certificate in elementary education from Rutgers University. For 6 years she led puppetry workshops for the L.I.F.E. After School Program for the School District of Lancaster, and has been an artist-in-residence at several area schools. Mary has also taught adults, librarians, teachers, and church youth group leaders how to use puppets with children. Mary loves introducing people of all ages to the fascinating art form of puppetry!
