About the Workshop
With the support of the hammock, we explore, refine and advance our asana practice. Working with gravity, we realign the body, heighten our awareness and uplift the spirit.
This workshop introduces the fundamentals and provides a first-hand experience on the hammock. Each session facilitates proper body alignment and physical release in different body parts. Come and discover a new sense of lightness and joy in your practice!
Schedule & Description
Session I: 7 June (Sunday)
4:30pm – 7:00pm: Presence and Awareness
It is essential to understand the basic techniques for ease of movement and safety. This session introduces the basics and tips which are important in various poses, particularly inversions.
Session II: 14 June (Sunday)
4:30pm – 7:00pm: Open Shoulders and Flexible Hips
This practice will release tight spots or tension in shoulders and hips to enhance flexibility and range of motion.
Session III: 21 June (Sunday)
4:30pm – 7:00pm: Supple Spine
In this invigorating session, we go deeper and focus on poses to create mobility and suppleness in the spine.
Session IV: 28 June (Sunday)
4:30pm – 7:00pm: Strong Core
Core strength keeps us steady, light and balanced. We become more present; and act on what is in line with our innermost values.
Session V: 5 July (Sunday)
4:30pm – 7:00pm: Balance and Agility
This progressive practice creates a sense of oneness in body, mind and spirit. With proper alignment, free movements, relaxed breathing, you can achieve balance, improve agility, and have fun on the hammock.
