Following the triumphant success of the re-launched Ramathon, Derby’s half marathon is back on Sunday 7th June 2015 with a race of 4,000 runners and a start/finish at the Ipro Stadium.
The half marathon, sponsored by Central Health, starts and finishes in Derby at the iPro Stadium (home of the Rams - Derby County Football Club). The route will go through the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston and Elvaston (and the Castle grounds) and competitors will again be able to enjoy the amazing scenery which helped make the event so iconic in 2014. The flat course offers a fantastic potential for a personal best time for seasoned runners but is also perfect for the first timers.
Included in the entry fee:
- Technical t-shirt to all finishers.
- Commemorative Derby Ramathon Half Marathon medal.
- Downloadable finishers’ certificate
- Pre and post-race massage.
- Secure baggage area.
- Water and energy stations.
In addition to the main half marathon event, there will also be a Mini Ramathon, starting at 9.45am. This fun run will be targeting young children and their families to participate as well as to provide entertainment whilst the half marathon event is taking place.
