Registration: 7:00am - 8:30am
Weigh-ins / Groom Check: 7:00am - 8:30am
Rules / Wrestling Clinic: 9:00am
Wrestling starts 10:00am
*tournament runs straight through without breaks
In order to register for a tournament, you must have to following:
1) a current USAW membership
2) a valid form of identification
3) proof of age
4) appropriate entry fee
--- Athlete: All athlete cards must be purchased online at www.themat.com (one time fee per season). Cards will not be sold the day of the tournament, they can only be purchased online.
--- Coaches: All coaching cards must be purchased online at www.themat.com (one time fee per season). Cards will not be sold the day of the tournament. You must have at least a Bronze card, pass a background check, have a valid ID, and a current USAW coaches card in order to coach. Please visit www.themat.com for details.
--- Officials: All officials cards must be purchased online at www.themat.com (one time fee per season). Cards will not be sold the day of the tournament, If under 18 years of age, you must complete and pass a background check. Please visit www.themat.com for details.
Entry fee*:$10.00 for one style; $5.00 for additional style
*$5.00 late registration charge
$20.00 for Freestyle & Greco Championship
Proof of Age: Please bring birth certificate, passport, official school document with date of birth, etc. Documents must have date of birth.
Styles: Greco Roman, Freestyle
Divisions: Bantam, Intermediate, Novice, Schoolboys/Girls, Cadets, Junior, and Open.
Awards: Medals for individual placers at each tournament. There is no team scoring or awards.
Grand Champion Award: this is presented at the conclusion of the spring season and is awarded to one wrestler in each division that has accumulated the most points throughout the entire season. For details and current standings, visit: http://catcode.com/scvwa/grand/grand.html
Headgear: required for the following divisions: Bantam, Intermediate, Novice, Middle School, Cadet. This applies to both boys and girls in each division listed.
Mouth Guards: If you wear braces, you must wear both an upper and lower mouth guard
Uniforms: A singlet is suggested but you can wrestle in shorts and fitted t-shirt for local events. However, for state, regional and national events you MUST have a red and blue singlet. A reversible red/blue singlet will do.
