PRINCIPLES OF POSING with Nelson Simard $15 members / $40 non-members REGISTER ONLINE: Photographers did not invent posing, people did. The definition of a good pose? Someone who looks un-posed. In this workshop, we will cover the various posing techniques utilized by various industries including photography, including the following: • basic posing techniques • learning by watching • feminine vs masculine poses • posing challenging figures • how to make everyone look their very best • fine-tuning various body parts (hands, legs, feet) • posing couples as well as groups NELSON SIMARD has been his career as a photographer in 1977. He attained his Craftsman of Photographic Arts in 1996 and his Master of Photographic Arts in 2001. He has since achieved his sixth bar of his MPA. Nelson was awarded the title of PPOC-Ontario Photographic Artist of the Year in 2010. If you are not a current member of PPOC, information will be available at the registration desk. You can also sign up for a mentoring sessions at this time. Mentoring: Sign up will be available at the registration desk for 1-on-1 mentoring for up to nine (9) members. These mini mentor sessions are 10 minutes each and designed to provide you with personalized feedback to help you with your portfolio and for selecting images to submit for accreditation. Bring up to 10 images sized according to PPOC accreditation standards. Images can be presented on a tablet (iPad, Surface, etc.), laptop, or in large print format — 8x10" minimum, 11x14" recommended. Image Critique: Submit up to three (3) images to have a panel of your peers review and provide feedback on the images. Images must be submitted in advance.
