Live: Benbo + full band
Plus special live guests Vib, Oli Spleen, Otti Albietz & the Voices
And on the decks: Emily Dust (No Homo / Pug Party / Radar Radio)
Following our inaugural Pink Lizard Presents with Pablo, Otti, Michelle Bee, Benbo and Gemma Winter, we are back at The Workshop (basement of Roadtrip & The Workshop, super close to Old St tube) for the launch of Benbo’s first ever official EP.
Signed to Cooking Vinyl as a songwriter on the strength of a three-track demo in 2009, Benbo has basically been working on his début album for about 12 years.
On the brink of deleting it all, instead he took a pivotal year off to try to complete 52 new, original music collaborations – which brought him management, a ton of new artist friends, a couple of label deals and an offer from Strokes producer Gordon Raphael to help mix the record.
Freshly baked from a studio littered with hundreds of rejected mixes and masters, the album is coming together at last – and 'EP1' is the first fruit.

Vib’s silky voice has graced collaborations with Knives Out, Selerac (Seeking Blue) and starRo (Soulection).
Tonight he will be jumping on the mic mid-Benbo set for a brief special appearance.
Don’t miss this extremely rare live performance from a truly excellent soul singer and songwriter!
The extraordinary Oli Spleen escaped death by sheer force of will. Founder of iconic outsider band The Flesh Happening and rock gods Pink Narcissus, his unique voice grows stronger with every release.
His solo album 'Fag Machine' has given its title to a weekly night in Brighton, as well as a video for the title track that you are not allowed to view if under 18.
If you haven't yet heard of him, he is probably the greatest rock star you've never heard of. A genuine original.
OTTI AND THE VOICES
You might see Otti as one man with a host of inner voices, or as one man with a band of other human voices.
At the centre is an extraordinary multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose stunning, image-laden songs oscillate between intense realism and fantastical dreams.
His self-produced 2011 debut One led cult label BBE to sign his next two albums. Bubbytone II was meticulously recorded and produced over many months; by contrast, And The Voices was tracked all live in just two days.
Like pretty much everyone in the Pink Lizard Music family, Otti is a truly unique voice – we highly recommend seeing him live.
So, bring your sheep on drugs and your black holes!
